[Ad – gifted] When I was recently contacted about a collaboration with Lighthouse, the outdoor clothing brand, I knew exactly what garments I’d be selecting. Today I’m reviewing their ladies Outback full length waterproof raincoat, and their mens Stockman full length raincoat.

We’re now on the home run to Christmas, and with a full half a term under our belts I think I can safely say that while we’re not yet smashing the school run, we’re in a definite routine. It’s not easy, but it’s just about manageable. And one of the things that has helped make it as close to painless as I could hope for, is being properly kitted out for the march to the school gate.
The walk to school is a leisurely 15 minute stroll, or a strenuous 7 minute yomp if we’re running late (it took me half an hour to cool down that day, but we made it on time). Either way, it’s that very particular distance which, when you factor in parking and getting from the car to the gate, makes it just as fast to travel by foot. Since I don’t get too much in the way of time for working out, I like to walk if I possibly can.
In the first few weeks I got thoroughly wet through on a couple of occasions, and decided that if I were to continue with my determination to avoid taking the car on days when it was throwing it down outside, I had to be adequately dressed.

Lighthouse Full Length Waterproof Raincoat Review
This coat literally has me covered.

So long as I’m wearing tall, waterproof boots, I know the water’s not getting in, even in the most wintry shower. Not only are they made from highly waterproof material, they also have multiple additional features to keep you warm and dry.

Style
These coats are both functional and stylish, offering full protection from the elements and also looking smart.
Featuring a cotton check lining and corduroy inside collar, they epitomise country chic.
The coats are available in a range of colours – there’s more choice for the ladies, but the two mens options are very nice!
I love the rich blue of mine and the classic country green of Dan’s.
The small details of these raincoats are what really set them apart:
The two-way zip and adjustable walking vent and leg strap features provide practical comfort, while the antique brass-coloured hardware, with the checked lining and the corduroy inside collar ensure you’ll be turning heads for all the right reasons this season.
