Living Arrows 20/52

“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” Kahlil Gibran

Ah, family weekends – nothing better when there’s nothing much planned and the sun is shining!

Pixie woke from her nap a little prematurely because she heard the ice-cream van. She doesn’t have many treats of this nature, but we have recently been allowing her the occasional cone (I can’t call it a ’99, because it is not – £1.30!).

Anyhow, she woke up very excited and we rushed to get there in time, and here she is indulging in the garden.

Definitely no better way to be woken up than by the sound of the ice cream van! Kid goals right there!

Love the angle of this photo! My 2 have only quite recently decided that they like ice cream, so I think this summer might be the one where we start running after the ice cream van when we hear the music! x #LivingArrows

Thank you! Yes, us too – although I’ve just discovered that hom-made ice lollies go down equally well!

You cannot beat an ice cream stop – and I heard the ice cream van music for the first time this year a couple of days ago, it always takes me back to childhood x

Lol, I still call them 99s too. Even though round by us they’re nearer £2-2.50! We used to love the ice cream van coming round up our estate. But living on a farm means N will never experience that #livingarrows

Oh my goodness the price has escalated! a £1.30 flake just doesn’t have the same ring to it does it? #LivingArrows
