Living Arrows 27/52

You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forthKahlil Gibran

My beautiful and very talented sister (in-law) paid us a special visit – in addition to the one where she met her new niece for the very first time – with her pro photographer hat on. And I am delighted with the stunning memories she has captured for us.

I’m so proud of my girls and I don’t think I did too badly with hubby either – he has helped me create some gorgeous babies after all.

I intend sharing a few more images in a dedicated post at some point; in the meantime, this is one of my favourites from the shoot because it’s the first pro shot of the four of us and for me, it screams love. If I can keep my family this happy most of the time then I’ll feel like I’m winning at life.

(If this sounds remotely smug, don’t be fooled – just last week I was talking about how tough it is to strike the balance right as a parent to two. And I’ll be talking about that more soon.)

This is such a gorgeous photo. I’m sure you are both wonderful parents. I don’t think you sound smug at all, just real ! We all have the amazing days and the not so amazing ones too x #livingarrows

Thank you Katy, that’s true. I think it’s great sharing tips with other parents that may help on a practical level, and I do often do this; but it’s equally important to show our fallible human side too. And sadly – yes – that is my current ‘real’! x

Thank you! I love it so much and have many more which are equally lovely – aren’t I lucky to have such a talented photographer in the family to help us capture these special memories! x
