“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” Kahlil Gibran

We had such a lovely weekend. On Saturday Pixie had her first proper birthday party (which I’ll be reviewing soon!) which was lovely. And best of all it was mostly stress-free, apart from a small (okay, b-i-g) mix up with the cake…

On Sunday we walked down to the beach where I grew up, which is where this photo was taken. Here Pixie is examining a tiny crab she found which is scuttling across her hands. The weather was beautiful and it was so tranquil. It’s so peaceful and beautiful there, especially in the summer. I really didn’t appreciate it growing up!

  1. I’m just imagining something with the cake like in Friends! That really is a teeny tiny crab. I wish we lived closer to the sea. #LivingArrows

  2. I am so envious that you grew up near the beach. Beautiful photo and it sounds like a lovely weekend – Happy Birthday Pixie! x

  3. We live really close to the beach, and I love that popping down there for a walk and a play in the sand is such a normal part of life for my children, it’s not something I had growing up as we didn’t live on the coast. Hope Pixie had a great birthday! x #LivingArrows
