VIONIC Review – I was sent a pair of shoes in exchange my honest opinion.
I’m really excited to be partnering with VIONIC for a review of their Cambridge shoe. If you’ve not already heard of them, VIONIC are a specialist footwear brand offering so much more than stylish pumps and boots: their innovative podiatrist-designed shoes come with a removable biomechanical footbed. And although my mum’s ears pricked up when I mentioned my latest collaboration – I promise they’re not only for the older generation!
When I became aware that my mum already buys these shoes, I must confess – I was dubious as to whether they’d carry anything to my taste. And I wasn’t sure that I needed something with orthotics either. I was wrong on both counts…
Browsing through the VIONIC website, I quickly realised that they sell a lot of shoes that I’d very happily wear. Some are classically classy, others contemporary and trendy; I want most of them.
VIONIC Review – I’m Impressed!
In terms of the orthotic footbed, I presumed that to benefit you’d need to have a specific ‘problem’, and if you’d asked I’d have said that doesn’t really apply to me. Of course I was conveniently forgetting my chronically flat feet and almost constant sciatica, so perhaps those issues are legitimate reasons to wear orthotics? Either way, I like how my new shoes feel and I’ve pretty much lived in them since they arrived.

VIONIC offer a range of choices for flat shoes showcasing their FMT Technology; from pumps, to fashion trainers and active wear, as well as a variety of casual and smart boots. But incredibly their technology also extends to heeled shoes and boots! I can’t even imagine a comfortable heel (I gave up wearing them completely when ballet shoes were first in vogue), but I may just be persuaded to give them another go with the clever elevated support technology promised by VIONIC!
It’s worth being aware that some of their styles are wide-fit, and others are only suitable for narrow feet – unfortunately each design is one or the other – so you should be careful about your selection! That said, if you adore a pair of shoes in a width you think may not be suited to you, it may just be worth ordering them to test the fit. I tried one pair of trainers which were far too roomy for me, and then ended up with these beauties which are also wide fit, but very comfortable.
I love these shoes for their fantastic quality and flawless elegance, which can be paired with any outfit for a chic look. The classic shoe combines a neutral colour and preppy design to give a polished finish to smart tailoring and casual jeans alike.
I know what will be going on my Christmas list this year!
Have you tried these innovative shoes yet? What’s your verdict – do you agree with my VIONIC review?
