Yummy Mummy Maternity Review
My wardrobe has been in dire need of a spring update, and I’m lucky enough to be collaborating with Yummy Mummy Maternity again to help me achieve this. They had so much choice it wasn’t easy to pick my favourite items, but here’s what I went for in the end:
Mamalicious Spring Tess 3/4 Sleeved Woven Maternity Dress
I love love love this dress! It’s such a summery print, but really versatile too. It can be dressed up or down, and because it’s double layered it’s perfect for those blustery days that can’t quite make up their mind which season they belong to! Worn with leggings the dress is warm enough for right now, but it will also take me right up to when baby arrives, and possibly beyond.
Even if I can’t continue to wear it during the very hottest days of the summer, I’ll definitely come back to it when the weather turns again as it will also be perfect for feeding.
I’ve always been a fan of the knee-length classic vintage tea dress, and this falls just above or below the knee, depending on the size of your bump! It’s not quite as bright as the photo shows, and I lost my waist in this a little, but as my bump continues to grow I’m sure it will become more flattering. I love the twist detail, and the fact that it’s a button-up shirt design means it could also be used for feeding, particularly if paired with a belt to nip the waist in.
The inner vest is soft and comfy, the heavy layer of lace is luxurious and the print is beautiful. I’m yet to wear this out because I currently spend most of my time getting muddy with a toddler, but I can’t wait for an opportunity; perhaps on holiday in a few week’s time.
Another favourite! I love the detail at the side of this top, and unlike many maternity clothes the design is actually really flattering because you can pull it in to it adjust it perfectly to your changing shape.
I’ve had lovely compliments on this top every time I’ve worn it, and the delicate pink is so feminine – LOVE!
Because we all need basics too, right? Plus they have cool faux leather pocket detail to give some interest. I was specifically looking for an under the bump pair of leggings because my IBS flares up if I wear anything tight across my tummy. When they arrived a few weeks ago, these were perfect; alas they now continuously slide down – because I’ve gained a bit of weight through my legs… It’s been too easy to indulge recently – oops. I’m sure they’ll be back to fitting more comfortably very soon if I eat a little better. Maybe.
I’d love if they stay up post-pregnancy too (big ask perhaps, but they do have a fab elasticated waist), because they’re so thick and basically the perfect pair of leggings for my un-pregnant body shape. Assuming I manage to get back to it that is…
